About Us

The Canberra Behavioural Lab (CanBe Lab) is dedicated to creating positive societal change by understanding and influencing human behaviour. As part of the University of Canberra’s Faculty of Business, Government and Law, we study how people think, feel, and act in real-world and simulated environmentsin order to design strategies, policies, and campaigns that drive wellbeing and meaningful transformation.

Our work is grounded in behavioural science and focused on creating real-world impact. We explore how citizen and workplace behaviours shape society, uncover the patterns behind decision-making, and identify ways to encourage positive change at scale.

This lab explores citizen and workplace behaviours to help recognize patterns, develop policies and campaigns to encourage societal changes for wellbeing, and proactively forecasts behaviours as technology changes everyday living. This lab is very focused on using emerging technology to help businesses thrive and contribute to societal wellbeing.

Whether studying how citizens engage with public services, how consumers make decisions, or how professionals respond to workplace challenges, the Can Be Lab offers a space where behaviour can be observed, measured, and understood.
